The Barcamp Nigeria team is proud to announce the schedule for 2011 Barcamp events. The event was successfully organized two editions in 2009 and 2010, and having listened to the yearnings of tech professionals for engaging events, we are poised to take it further in 2011 by organizing it in various parts of the country.

Barcamp Nigeria
BarCamp is an ‘unconference’ – ad-hoc gathering of people with the simple desire to share and learn in an open environment. Unlike a conference, at a BarCamp everyone is both a speaker and a participant. The content is provided by all attendees based on their interests.
Barcamp Nigeria was held on the 25th of April 2009 and second edition was held 22nd of May 2010 both in Lagos. We have planned to hold this event in four different locations across the country;
- Abuja
- Kaduna
- Lagos
- Port Harcourt
Date Schedule
- Barcamp Kaduna 21-22nd of January, 2011. Theme: Creating Wealth through Technology… Putting Nigeria on the Map!
- Barcamp Lagos, 11-12th of March 2011. Theme: Technology Business Models; from Idea to Profitable Business.
- Barcamp Abuja, 18th of June 2011: Collaboration and Competition: working in Synergy
- Barcamp Port Harcourt, 1st of October 2011: Exploring technology for business; stimulating business adoption of technology

Thank God I was there, at the Lagos edition. The event was truely inspiring and I made a few friends there. though I was looking forward to the mobile technology segment of the talk on the 2nd day but was disappointed as the intended speakers never turned up.
