Apparently in a bid to rival MTN Ghana’s mtnloaded.com.gh, Zain Ghana is launching its own content portal for its subscribers. The competition on the mobile front in Ghana has been between MTN and Zain in recent times. There is a problem however. The web address Zain is advertising doesn’t belong to them and doesn’t contain any Zain content. The domain zainportal.com is just a parked domain littered with ads. I first noticed the domain when I checked my account balance on Zain. I accessed it on my mobile and thought my phone had malaria when I saw the wrong content. I am surprised a multi-national company could spend money advertising a wrong web address to their subscribers and even on national TV (GTV).
Stay tuned for the right web address whenever I find it.

i love zain but why is it so expensive when i use my phone as a modem with my laptop?
Your laptop consumes much more data than your mobile phone. Therefore, it is advisable that you go for a data bundle if you intend to keep using your phone as your laptop modem. Call Zain customer service on 111 for details.
