The US Secret Service has released the first photos Wednesday of the new presidential limousine that will transport Barack Obama down Pennsylvania Avenue next Tuesday as part of the 56th Presidential inaugural parade after he is sworn in at the Capitol.

BBC News quotes the Secret Service Assistant Director for the Office of Protective Operations as saying:

“Although many of the vehicle’s security enhancements cannot be discussed, it is safe to say that this car’s security and coded communications systems make it the most technologically advanced protection vehicle in the world.”

The car’s high-tech security features include 5 inches thick heavy armor, run-flat tires, bulletproof glass and a completely sealed interior, among others. The armoured limousine has been heavily modified to withstand potential attacks by weapons or bombs.

  1. I don’t really know what to say, I really don’t like the wheels are they rims or special mags with blades that come out? The cars looks like it a little pimped up. But I bet this car is worth more than my car and house together? Nice posts thanks.

  2. Nigeria Joseph Ojemanya from Lagos, Nigeria says:

What do you expect from a man that can not be compared to anyone at this moment. The car, i don’t think should be a subject of arguement and comparism. It is for sure a customised car with coded security features of unimaginable description.
That car to me can not be quantified.Obama deserves more than that…

  3. Why the name “the beast”? I’m just curious. I think the President deserve the best car America can provide after-all, he is their number 1 citizen.

  4. The car is rugged and can withstand a rocket-propelled grenade about other very tough security measures installed on it. Thus the nickname: “beast”.

  5. Well that is certainly a monster of a car. I hope it was made in America.

  6. United States Dennis Agyarko from California, United States says:

No wonder he is da most powerful man on earth. He really deserves it n even more dan that but the question is he da anti-christ.
