With gratitude to God Almighty for a life well-spent(?), we regret to announce the sudden death of our beloved(?) leading Nigerian e-gold exchanger, GoldKobo.com, whose sudden death occurred on the 3rd of April 2008 due to an unannounced blocking of their e-gold account by e-gold Ltd as well as a constantly recurring shades of fraud by customers.

PUBLIC NOTICE
April 3, 2008: GoldKOBO is placed under Receivership.
- Effective immediately, Goldkobo Services Ltd will stop offering e-gold exchange services.
- Since we officially started offering e-gold exchange services in 2005 to our now over 10,000 Nigerian customers we have had to contend with several challenging fraud schemes by the same customers we work hard everyday to serve. At all such times we have had to cover the losses from company funds because e-gold operating agreement prohibits them from giving out account holder’s information without a US Court order when we requested assistance.
- As at March 31, 2008 we had our operating e-gold account frozen. While we await explanations from e-gold regarding the reason for this action, this situation has technically put us out of business. We have therefore appointed a Receiver in the process of winding up of the company in accordance with the COMPANIES AND ALLIED MATTERS ACT (CAMA) of The Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- The public is hereby notified to direct every enquiry, forward any claims and or obligations regarding Goldkobo Services Ltd to the Receiver:

Whatever may have bothered golodkobo or may have seemed incredibly stressful with them will eventually settle into a benign non-event but don’t forget that where there’s an obituary, there’s cirtainly the celebration of a new born elsewhere. It’s the track record that counts goldafrica has come to stay
Although i’m not a user of goldkobo, just heard of their service. But i think is high this crooks be brought to book. Mind u Niyi internent is avenue that conect the globe ence there is way the attitude of those wont affect the image of this country.
