WordPress. Security update. All the time. Reminds one of Microsoft.

Well, the latest security update is WordPress 2.1.3 and 2.0.10, depending on which version you are using.

WordPress.org says,

We are also now aggressively monitoring all downloads for any changes or modifications, and we are confident the same type of problem won’t happen again.

Let’s hope so.

  1. It gets a bit tiring having to do an update every 4 weeks. I just don’t bother unless its a serious issue. So far, I have updated my installation only once. Wetin?

  2. Wetin? Something! Be on the safe side my brother and update regularly. You make your server (and other users on it) vulnerable if you do not update your installed scripts regularly.

  3. One of these days, I’ll simply get off and migrate to something less cumbersome  . Come to think of it, if they had automatic updates like MS, it would be less stressful at least

  4. WordPress installations are now much easier to upgrade and so doesn’t poise much of a problem any more.
